
KUANTAN, May 8 — The implementation of the conditional movement control order (PKPB) in Pahang only involves areas classified as Green Zones in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the state government.
Pahang State Secretary Datuk Seri Sallehuddin Ishak said the CMCO included restaurants, factories, food courts/hawker centres, food trucks, rest and recreation (R&R), areas, petrol stations, public markets, shopping complexes and self-service laundries.
For recreational activities, the state government through the State Security Working Committee (JKKN) meeting today ruled that the activities allowed are golf, jogging, biking and motorcycling.
“All local authorities will monitor the premises and recreational activities permitted and JKKN agreed to set up an enforcement team which included the Pahang Health Department, police and other enforcement agencies.
“Any offences and non-compliance with SOPs can be prosecuted under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342) or Section 101 (v) of the Local Government Act 1976, or both,” he said in a statement, here, today.
Johor Health Department (JKNJ) today denied allegations on social media that the Taman Daya Econsave supermarket had been ordered shut after a Covid-19 case was detected there.Sallehuddin said the general conditions to be complied with at all premises was to ensure that all employees were free of Covid-19, must use of face masks, workers are not allowed to rest at the same time and premises with more than 10 workers need to set up an Emergency Response Team.
“Petrol stations are allowed to operate in accordance with the existing licence and the employer should provide gloves or hand sanitisers at every pump and the nozzle disinfected every hour,” he said.
Public markets are allowed to operate from 5 am to 2 pm with only one customer allowed at a stall for between five and 20 minutes and not allowed to touch the merchandise.
“Self-service laundries are allowed to operate from 7 am to 7 pm with all the machines disinfected after use, no folding of clothes is allowed and the owner of the premises must provide workers to ensure the SOP is complied with.
“Children aged 12 and under are not allowed into shopping complexes and if there is a Covid-19 positive case, the complex will be closed for three days for cleaning purposes,” he said.
As for golf activities, Sallehuddin said all clubs should ensure the use of a ‘driving range’ based on bookings, a distance of three metres between players and one metre for a caddy must be maintained during a game and no competition is allowed.
Sallehuddin said jogging can only be done alone and in a residential garden with a social distancing of 10 metres and no children under 10 are allowed.
“Cycling and motorcycle activities are allowed for one person per vehicle with the maximum number of vehicles allowed not exceeding five,” he said. — Bernama
