Dominic Calvert-Lewin lamented Everton's missed chances in Sunday's goalless draw with Liverpool.
The 22-year-old was denied by Alisson, with Tom Davies striking the resulting rebound against the post with 10 minutes remaining. The Englishman also came close to scoring with a diving header.
"Yeah, it was just instinct at the end, we had a few chances but it wasn't our day," the England Under-21 international told Sky Sports.
"Sometimes they go in, sometimes they don't and unfortunately today it didn't.
"Well take the point but that was a big chance for us today."
