Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl was delighted with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's performance for victory at Norwich City.
It marked the Dane's first game since being replaced as captain by James Ward-Prowse.
Hasenhuttl said, "The responsibility lies in the same place as before.
"Prowse is on the field as the leader, but Pierre did a fantastic job.
"I must say that they both had a fantastic and intense match, and that made a difference today."
