Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Angel Gomes could yet sign a new contract.
Gomes comes off contract at the end of this month.
Solskjaer believes things could soon change as Gomes mulls over a take-it-or-leave-it offer.
“He's a top kid who we've had at the club for so many years," he said. "We've offered him a deal and hopefully he'll take that and if not I wish him all the best.
“From what I understand it's not too far away - but if not we'll wish him all the best."
