The race for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz is narrowing as the transfer window approaches.
Several European clubs want to sign the attacking talent, who can play across the front line.
But the Daily Express is reporting that both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are pulling out of the race.
Real are not going to spend big money, as they would rather wait a year to see how Havertz develops.
They may also have an eye on signing Kylian Mbappe next summer.
Bayern also want Havertz, but they are not willing to pay the near £90 million fee that Leverkusen want.
It leaves the door open for Chelsea and Manchester United, with the Blues labeled as favorites to sign Havertz.
