Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc is on the radar of Manchester United.

The Athletic says United vice-chairman Ed Woodward could approach Zorc over the possibility of becoming the club's first technical director.

United will enter negotiations with Dortmund for Jadon Sancho anyway, with Solskjaer determined to sign the England international in this summer's transfer window.

And they may try and snare Zorc, too, with the 57-year-old regarded as one of the best sporting directors on the planet.

The German spent 17 years at the Westfalenstadion as a player and, after retiring in 1998, returned to the club in a directorial capacity.

And, over the years, he's been able to attract top, young talent to the club for bargain fees.
