Everton attacker Yannick Bolasie insists he wants to stay next season.

Bolasie is unable to train with team-mates at Finch Farm due to health and safety restrictions following the outbreak of coronavirus but is back in England after his loan at Sporting Lisbon ended.

The 31-year-old invited supporters to ask him a question in a wide-ranging conversation on social media on Friday and says he hopes to play for Everton 'soon', reports the Liverpool Echo.

When asked if he had spoken to Ancelotti, Bolasie replied: "No [conversations] as of yet but right now the team are fighting to finish as high as [possible] so that's all that matters."

The winger believes he can force his way back into the fold at Goodison Park and recapture the form that prompted Everton to spend £25m on his services in 2016.

"No reason why I couldn't....I can play everywhere and willing to do anything for the team," he said.

"I believe when I'm on a pitch I'll always make the difference and help the team in anyway they need.

"If I didn't share the same desire [to make it work at Everton] I would not have gone out on loan, I'd happily have stayed in the u23's (people talk about £ but I took [loans] so I can prove myself.

"[I'm] always confident as I know my ability but the rest is out of my hands....played a lot of games this season and also in Europa League with someone who is smashing up the Prem right now [Bruno Fernandes at Sporting Lisbon]."
