Newcastle United are eyeing a move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, according to the Express.
The Magpies are hoping to take advantage of the Cherries' relegation, which will see them sell players at a lower than expected price.
And Newcastle boss Steve Bruce is an admirer of 28-year-old Wilson, who would add goals and pace to the Magpies attack.
However, Newcastle have their own issues, as the state of a takeover from the Saudi Public Investment Fund group is uncertain.
They would have a lot more money if the Saudi takeover occurred, but Bruce may have to plan transfers with the knowledge that Mike Ashley could still own the club.
