Manchester City defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has apologised for his error which led to Southampton's winner last night.
The Ukraine international lost the ball in midfield, after which Southampton striker Che Adams scored from 40 metres for the only goal of the game.
Afterwards, Zinchenko took to social media to put his hands up.
He declared: “I apologise to the entire team and City fans - such errors are unacceptable."
It marked Adams' first ever goal for Saints in the Premier League.
