Manchester United have joined the battle for Leicester City fullback Ben Chilwell.

The Sun says Chilwell is on Chelsea's radar with Frank Lampard looking to add more quality this summer, having already signed striker Timo Werner and winger Hakim Ziyech for a combined £89m.

Manchester City are also keen on England ace Chilwell as Pep Guardiola strengthens his defence, with current left-back Benjamin Mendy having failed to fully convince.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United have now taken pole position in the race for Chilwell's signature.

Chilwell is one of Solskjaer's top targets this summer as he bids to turn his Champions League-chasing side into title contenders.

If United land Chilwell it will cast doubt over the future of his fellow England left-back Luke Shaw, whose place in the team has come under threat this season from youngster Brandon Williams.
