Atletico Madrid are eyeing West Ham United goalkeeper Roberto.

The London Evening Standard says the Spanish side are on the hunt for a back up to first-choice goalkeeper Jan Oblak and have identified Roberto, who started his career at the club and made five senior appearances, as a possible option, according to reports in his home country.

Roberto, 34, joined the Hammers on a free transfer last summer and was thrust into the spotlight following an injury to Lukasz Fabianski. A disastrous string of errors from Roberto saw him shipped out on loan to Alaves and ultimately cost Manuel Pellegrini his job.

David Moyes, who brought Darren Randolph back to the club in January to replace the hapless Roberto, is keen to clear out a number of players ahead of next season as he looks to shape the squad in his vision.
