Chelsea are convinced they can prise Dean Henderson away from Manchester United.
The Mirror says Chelsea are poised to offer Henderson a bumper £170,000-a-week deal should Manchester United fail to guarantee the highly-rated goalkeeper regular first-team action.
The 23-year-old, who has enjoyed another successful campaign with Sheffield United, recently returned to Old Trafford and has demanded guaranteed game time before signing a new deal.
Henderson tops Frank Lampard's shortlist for a new stopper this summer with a £55million offer believed to be enough to snare him.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to tie down Henderson to a new long-term contract and provide competition for under-fire David de Gea, but is believed to still view the Spain international as his first-choice keeper.
