Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has hailed the form of captain Papu Gomez.
The midfielder has been outstanding since Serie A's restart.
“He is the ultimate emblem of this team, for the quality he has as well as his effort," said Gasperini.
“He plays for the team, in different roles, and is always useful to the cause. He is a fundamental figure for our squad."
The coach added: “We could not have asked for a better run coming back from the lockdown. It's not easy playing in these circumstances, behind closed doors, in the heat and every three days. The value of the teams change and you have to adjust game by game.
