French billionaire Bernard Arnault's plans to buy AC Milan remain on track.

Il Giornale says the Louis Vitton chief exec is confident of completing the buyout of Milan from Elliott Management over the next 12 months.

And the Frenchman is already drawing up ambitious plans to announce his arrival into the world of football.

Arnault aims to bankroll a sensational deal for PSG striker Kylian Mbappe. The native of Roubaix sees Mbappe's signing as a message to the rest of the world that Milan 'are back'.

But he won't stop there, with Arnault also identifying Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as his first coaching appointment.

Arnault is regarded as the 3rd richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of $113.1 billion.
