Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane admits James Rodriguez asked not to be considered for Sunday's win at Athletic Bilbao.
The Colombian has featured in just one of Los Blancos' matches since the season resumed in June.
"James wants to stay away because of a personal matter," Zidane said after full time at San Mames.
"I'm not going to say any more about that."
It's no secret that the relationship between Zidane and James is strained, with the latter playing very little over the course of this season.v
