2018年大马有2个“变态男”把怀孕母猫丢进烘干机“烘死”，被判入狱34个月和罚款RM40,000。虽然已经有法律条文规定在大马虐待动物是要受到严重的惩罚！但有的人依然不怕，竟然又有狠心男子将3只可怜的猫咪丢进洗衣机弄死！
一名38岁的马来女子在7月12日早上9点左右，于Kepong某自助洗衣店发现3只小猫分别“躺”在洗衣机内，小猫浑身湿透，已经没有了生命气息。
女子立马联络洗衣店业者，并翻看店内CCTV。这才发现一名马来男子在当天早上5点半左右，将小猫“塞”进洗衣机里面任由它们活活溺死！两人震惊不已，立刻报警处理。

由于CCTV有录下虐猫者的样貌和全过程，警察和兽医局执法人员第一时间就上门将虐猫者逮捕归案。
不过，根据中国报和Harian Metro报导，当虐猫者看到执法人员时，还非常淡定，一副若无其事的样子继续吃饭，根本一点都不害怕。马来西亚动物协会将这件事放上Facebook，网民纷纷挞伐男子的残忍行径。
目前3只小猫的尸体已经交由Shah Alam兽医局处理，当局将援引2015年动物福利法令调查此案。根据2015年动物福利法令，任何触犯该法令的人将面对最高监禁3年，最高RM100,000的罚款，或两者兼施。
