Departing Atletico Madrid assistant coach Mono Burgos is interesting Alcorcon.
On Sunday, the Argentine said farewell to the stadium where he has sat alongside Simeone in the dugout for three of the last eight years, although he will remain as the No.2 until the conclusion of the Champions League in August.
There is still a lot to be decided with Burgos' future, but at the moment Alcorcon have already made clear that they would like to have him take charge at the Estadio Municipal de Santo Domingo, says Marca.
However, for the time being, Burgos is only focusing on Atletico's Champions League push, with he and Simeone hoping that they can win all three games and lift the famous trophy, which would put an end to their final anguish from 2014 and 2016.
