Manchester City have leaped into the lead in the race to sign Nathan Ake.

The Bournemouth and Netherlands centre-half is a much wanted man, as the Cherries are likely to get relegated.

He will be available for a cut price fee, and City are reportedly interested.

Sky Sports indicates talks between the two clubs about Ake.

Ake does have a contract until 2022, but Bournemouth will need money and might not be able to resist a significant offer from Cty.

City want a top class centre-back to partner Aymeric Laporte for next season, especially after the struggles and injury problems suffered by John Stones.

Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in the 25-year-old.
