Universitatea Craiova midfielder Alexandru Cicaldau is attracting Premier League interest.
The Sunday Mirror says Everton are keen on a deal for Cicaldau.
He has provided 15 goals and eight assists this season in his native Romania.
The 23-year-old could even be available at a cut price by Premier League standards with a fee of around £3.5million touted should Carlo Ancelotti decide to bring him to Goodison.
The report also claims that Sampdoria of Serie A are interested.
