Tottenham are battling to secure Japhet Tanganga to a new deal.
Spurs have reportedly placed an offer of £15,000 per-week on the table reports the Athletic, after the player's promising start to life in the senior team.
The offer represents a sizeable increase on the player's current weekly salary of just over £1,000 per-week, though would make Tanganga one of the lowest earners in the senior ranks.
With just one year remaining on his current deal the youngster could be set to leave for free next summer, and would be able to negotiate with clubs in January.
Tottenham are said to be very keen to keep the defender, who has the versatility to feature all across the back line.
