Arsenal are prepared to match the buyout clause in the deal of Sporting CP starlet Joelson Fernandes.
A Bola says the highly-rated 17-year-old is believed to have also attracted interest from Barcelona and Juventus - and has been dubbed 'the next Cristiano Ronaldo', another former prodigy to have progressed through Sporting's academy.
The Portuguese outfit are keen to extend Fernandes' contract, but face a battle to keep him with several clubs vying for his signature.
Arsenal have shown the most interest ahead of a potential summer switch and even believe an offer, which would trigger the clause, is 'imminent'.
The north London club may also be handed a boost in negotiations. Fernandes' agent is Kia Joorabchian, who has worked closely with them to broker several deals in recent years.
