Barcelona great Rivaldo believes Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is eager to sign Lionel Messi.
Messi is now inside the final year of his current deal at Barca.
And Rivaldo declared: "When Messi's contract ends he will be 34, but with his class I think he could still easily play in the Premier League. It will be sad to see him leave Barcelona at the end of his contract, but I still hope he can stay for now.
"Despite his connection to the club, he has the right to change if he wishes. Finding Pep Guardiola at Manchester City will be tempting for him, because the two have formed a good association with Barça."
