Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock is convinced Kostas Tsimikas will prove a classy signing.
The Greek left-back joined Liverpool from Olympiacos last week.
“I think that the vast majority of players who have come in under Jürgen Klopp have improved and they've made the squad better," Warnock told liverpoolfc.com. “They've improved under Jürgen and his staff and they have got better as players.
“He's played for a big club so he understands what it means to play for a big club, to have tough times at a big club. He's said it himself that he's coming to the biggest football club in the world and he's right. He's going to have to deal with those pressures but he's also going to have to improve along the way.
“Liverpool have bought him to compete with Robertson for the shirt and also to give Robbo time to rest. You think about the football, the minutes, that Robbo has played over the last couple of years, it's been phenomenal really."
