Sky Sports are refreshing their pundit lineup ahead of the new Premier League season.
The broadcaster is moving on the likes of Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thomspon.
The former players have been a stable of the Sky Sports network for the past few years.
Sky claims the moves are a result of cost cutting measures due to COVID-19.
Thompson, a Liverpool legend, spoke about his departure from Sky.
He said on Twitter: "I've had a great 22 years with SkySports. Enjoyed every minute with some amazing people on the show and behind the scenes which made it the iconic show it is today. Good luck to Sky, Jeff [Stelling], Merse [Paul Merson] and the new gang on SoccerSaturday."
