Barcelona midfielder Pedri has lifted the lid on past interest from Real Madrid.
The youngster did have a trial with Los Blancos, but it was the Azulgrana who tied him down to a deal.
"Two or three years ago I went [to Madrid] to do trials," Pedri told YouTuber DjMaRiiO.
"I was there for a week but they told me to keep working. They didn't want to sign me.
"Last season I started pre-season with Las Palmas but Barcelona had signed me before I finished.
"I had already signed after the pre-season games, it was a dream of mine since childhood.
"It was much better that Barcelona called me and I got this opportunity."
