Liverpool have signed Hoffenheim midfielder Melkamu Frauendorf.
The Liverpool Echo reports a deal was approved by the Football Association and Premier League inside the last two weeks.
And the attacking midfielder has now penned a scholarship agreement at Anfield.
Frauendorf will join up with Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and his under-18 side ahead of the new campaign after being capped by Germany at under-15 and u-16 level.
Hoffenheim will be owed training compensation for their development of the player.
