Neco Williams is close to signing a five-year contract extension with Liverpool, according to reports.

The 19-year-old right-back has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Anfield, having made 11 first-team appearances.

And Goal says Liverpool are rewarding the Wales U19 international with a new contract.

Jurgen Klopp now considers Williams a first-team player and he will continue to get opportunities to play next season.

The Reds are also close to signing Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos as an understudy to left-back Andy Robertson.
