The Brazilian fears he is going to be sidelined by Hammers boss David Moyes, claims The Sun.
Anderson is open to returning to former club Lazio, who have been linked with his signature.
However, Lazio are only prepared to spend half of the £41m that West Ham paid them in 2018.
