Chelsea are lining up a move for Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.
The Daily Star says Blues boss Frank Lampard appears to have lost all faith in Spanish stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga - and is on the hunt for a world-class replacement between the posts.
And he sees Pope, 28, who just missed out on the Golden Glove this season after keeping 15 clean Premier League sheets in the – one less than Manchester City's Ederson – as the best choice.
The England keeper, capped twice by Gareth Southgate, still has three years left on his contract with Burnley and will not come cheap.
But any offer of around £50m could be sufficient to force Sean Dyche's men to consider selling their prize asset to the Londoners.
Pope is thought to be keen on a move to one of the elite English clubs at this stage of his career as he attempts to establish himself as the country's number one stopper.
