Chelsea are ready to move for two defenders amid Frank Lampard's squad restructuring.

The Blues know they need a top defender if they are to compete for the Premier League next term.

And they are eyeing two Premier League players - John Stones and Lewis Dunk.

The Mirror suggests Stones could arrive from Manchester City, where he is surplus to requirements.

They also suggest Dunk could arrive separately, even though he may cost £40 million.

Stones only played 16 Premier League games last season, despite City having an injury crisis at centre-half almost all season.

Dunk is 28 and key for Brighton, which is why he has a huge price tag.
