Reagan Thomson has signed pro terms with Newcastle United.
The 17-year-old arrived in January on Academy terms from Queens Park after Newcastle pipped Rangers and Celtic for his signature, reports the Evening Chronicle.
Thomson is now tied down to United on a long-term deal and will be pushing for the Under-23 team this season via a regular run in the Under-18 side.
After signing his new deal Thomson posted on his Instagram account: "Delighted to officially sign my first professional contract."
The original deal has cost United around £50,000 but could rise through instalments to £90,000 if he makes the grade.
