Former Celta Vigo defender Dan Eggen says Norwegian football is excited seeing Martin Odegaard return to Real Madrid for next season.
Multiple loan spells had appeared to spell the end of Odegaard's career in Madrid, yet he has been simply sublime with Real Sociedad in 2019/20, establishing himself as one of the elite playmakers in LaLiga Santander.
"He must now show that he can play as a substitute, that he can adapt to a big team like Real Madrid," Eggen explained in an interview with Radio MARCA.
"We're all excited that he will return to Real Madrid, he deserves this opportunity more than anyone.
"I think he will handle it well."
