Manchester City reportedly have more interest in Jack Grealish than Manchester United.
The Aston Villa playmaker has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's interest has cooled in recent weeks as he looks to fix more urgent recruitment issues.
And according to The Athletic, City could swoop in and sign the 24-year-old.
Grealish could be seen as a direct replacement for David Silva and would compete with Phil Foden for a midfield spot.
However, any deal for the Englishman is unlikely with Villa likely seeking an exorbitant fee for their captain after staying in the Premier League.
