Aston Villa are targeting a shock move for Atletico Madrid fullback Kieran Trippier.
The England international became a key part of Diego Simeone's defence after signing from Spurs in the summer of 2019.
But the Telegraph says Villa are attempting to lure the 29-year-old back to England.
Dean Smith's side only narrowly avoided relegation after shipping in 67 goals last term.
After struggling with injuries early on last season, Trippier eventually made 33 matches in all competitions for Atleti.
