Burnley midfielder Dale Stephens was frustrated with a losing debut against Southampton.
The former Brighton midfielder featured in the 1-0 defeat.
Stephens said: "It's not the debut I wanted but we deserved something from the game.
"There wasn't much in the game and we will build on that second-half performance.
"We want a high-tempo match and you saw that in the second half. I'm enjoying it - I've only trained once and I needed those minutes."
