Jimi Tauriainen has made his debut for Chelsea U18.
Blues U18 coach Ed Brand handed the Finn a full debut for today's 1-1 draw with Brighton. Edwin Andersson, who arrived last month from IFK Gothenburg, also started, though was changed at halftime.
Jude Soonsup-Bell found the net for Chelsea in the opening minute on the South Coast before Brighton drew level shortly before the break via Jack Leahy.
Tauriainen lasted 66 minutes before his substitution. The son of Finland international Pasi Tauriainen, Jimi joined Chelsea from HJK Helsinki earlier this year.
Chelsea actually started the game with two Finns on the pitch, with goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom between the posts for the Blues.
