Neco Williams was in shock after scoring his first international goal for Wales in the 1-0 win over Bulgaria in the Nations League on Sunday.
The Liverpool right-back, 19, ghosted into the box to head home a stoppage-winner.
"To be honest, I can't really sum it up at the minute," Williams told Sky Sports.
"Before the goal, we must have made about 25 passes before the goal actually went in, so the build-up to it was the main thing.
"And to finish it off, and especially to get my first goal for my country, is just a proud moment for me and my family. It'll be a day I'll remember for the rest of my life."
Williams added that he was confident Wales could upset neighbours England in October.
"That's going to be a great game," he said. "With the quality we have in this team we're going to prove we're capable of beating them.
"I'm sure it's going to be a great game. All the boys are excited and can't wait for the game."
