Former Arsenal scout Francis Cagigao is not bitter about the manner of his exit.
Cagigao spent almost 25 years with the Gunners, but was let go as part of COVID-19 related club downsizing.
He spent most of his time at the club reporting to manager Arsene Wenger.
"You can't afford to be bitter in life and you have to have a thick skin and get over things quickly," Cagigao said in an interview with Guillem Balague on YouTube.
"I'm very proud of the time I spent and I'm proud of my personal achievements and also very privileged to have worked for Arsenal, a club where I was able to learn, where I met and worked with some incredible people over the years.
"Over 24 years of course I have been approached by a lot of clubs. For one reason or another I didn't feel it was right at that time to move to any of those clubs and I stayed at Arsenal."
