Chelsea manager Frank Lampard admits winger Christian Pulisic may not play against Liverpool at the weekend.
The Blues started the Premier League off with a win against Brighton away from home.
Now they face the champions Liverpool on Sunday in a top of the table clash.
But 21-year-old Pulisic could be out, after he was absent for the Brighton game with a hamstring problem.
"Christian was training with us last week but he had a little bit of discomfort a couple of days ago where he was trying to train with us and be in contention for today," said Lampard to reporters after the Brighton game.
"It would have been a big ask for today but he's had to take a few steps back.
"That's one that I don't have big news on at the minute. We'll see."
