Newcastle United are eyeing Espanyol left-back Adria Pedrosa.
Marca says Pedrosa was put up for sale by the Catalan club this summer after their relegation from LaLiga Santander.
Didac Vila remains the first choice left-back at the RCDE Stadium, with Espanyol looking to cash in on Pedrosa.
Villarreal, Real Betis, Osasuna and Newcastle are the clubs who have made an approach for Spanish Under-21 international in recent weeks.
Pedrosa could also become a makeweight in other transfers, with Espanyol keen on Villarreal's Manu Morlanes, Alfonso Pedraza and Fernando Nino.
