Ferran Torres chose Manchester City ahead of Manchester United this summer, it has been revealed.

AS says new City signing Torres rejected the advances of Manchester United this summer.

Torres joined City after entering the final year of his contract with Valencia and it's reported he was viewed as an alternative to signing Jadon Sancho, of Borussia Dortmund, for the Reds.

The report claims talks had started with Torres but he decided to join Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.

Torres was City's first signing of the summer and joined on a five-year contract as the Premier League giants paid €23 million (£20.8 million) for the youngster.
