Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has left the door ajar for an extra signing before the market closes.

Zidane has not shut the door on players potentially joining Los Blancos before the end of the transfer window, but he made clear that existing players would have to depart first.

In terms of his current squad, the Frenchman is happy with the players he has at his disposal.

"Everyone can give their opinion. For me, I always have the best and the best thing is that it is always like that at Madrid," Zidane said.

"The market is open until the 5th [of October].

"In the end, we already have a lot [in terms of the size of the squad]. Are you going to put more people here? What for?

"They are all very good. I am happy, really."

There has been talk in the last few days about either Luka Jovic or Borja Mayoral leaving Real Madrid on loan, but Zidane was tight-lipped on the matter.

"I'm not even going to answer you," Zidane responded.

"I'm going to count on all the players who have a first-team contract.

"Then we'll see."

Zidane was then asked if Jovic has any reason to be unhappy.

"You have to take everything into account," he explained.

"Until the 5th, the market is open. We will see.

"The players are fine and that's what interests me."
