Italy medical chief Andrea Ferretti admits there's big concerns around the injury to Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.
Zaniolo was forced off just before half-time in Italy's 1-0 Nations League victory over Holland in Amsterdam.
“It is a significant sprain of the knee," Ferretti told RAI Sport.
“It's difficult to compare the stability with the other knee, because that has already undergone an operation. It's a significant sprain.
“He is coming back from a long rehabilitation process for the other knee, so obviously he is very worried, as are we."
There was an update during the press conference later on from coach Roberto Mancini.
“He was very worried the moment it happened, but felt better afterwards, as it wasn't that painful. I hope it's not as serious as last time, he seemed a little calmer."
