Barcelona presidential candidate Lluis Fernandez Ala says he wants Javier Garcia Pimienta as his senior coach.
Garcia Pimienta is currently in charge of the Barca B team.
Taking aim at president Josep Maria Bartomeu, Ala told Goal: "He never had a clear plan.
"He is only busy improvising and that is simply not possible at a club like Barcelona. We need a large-scale renovation and I am not just thinking of replacing Bartomeu. The club can no longer remain in the hands of the elite. Very clear ideas are needed to make it a great club again.
"On the bench we think of García Pimienta, taking Bayern Munich as an example. Nobody knew Hansi Flick and it now turns out that he is a great trainer. We really think that Pimienta can be the new Pep Guardiola."
