Arsenal are closing in on Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson.

Sky Sports says the Gunners want to complete the deal "as soon as possible" after selling Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa.

Iceland international Runarsson must be registered by midday on Friday to be part of the Arsenal squad for Saturday's game against West Ham United.

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya was also an option for Arsenal but the Championship club are refusing to lose any more of their star players.
