Chelsea signing Kai Havertz admitted that Frank Lampard is a key reason why he signed for the club.
Havertz is the marquee signing Chelsea fans wanted after the departure of Eden Hazard last season.
The 21-year-old attacker can play on the wings and centrally.
And he hopes to learn a lot from a legend of the game like Lampard.
Havertz told reporters: "I watched many games of him as a kid.
"He was also like the way I play as a midfielder — to go in the box, score goals and make assists.
"I loved him as a player. I was dreaming as a kid to play in the Premier League and for Chelsea as well.
"I've always dreamed of playing in a league like that and that dream came true very early."
