West Ham United, Leeds United are among some of the clubs chasing French defender Jean-Claude Billong.
TEAMtalk says the 26-year-old is available this summer from Serie B team Salernitana.
Billong is a top earner and they want him off the wage bill, but he is on a two year loan with Benevento Calcio in Serie A.
It means if any English club tries to sign him, they must get approval from both teams to secure the transfer.
Crystal Palace are also eager, along with West Bromwich Albion, Norwich and Watford.
Billong is 6ft 4in and has been compared to Chris Samba, the former Blackburn Rovers captain.
