Fabian Schar is back running at Newcastle United amid major transfer speculation.
The Evening Chronicle says Schar is edging his way back to fitness after dislocating his shoulder in July.
The Switzerland international - who Newcastle are prepared to sell for the right price - was hurt at the end of the 3-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
But Schar has been working with the physio at Benton and is now back on the grass after departing the treatment room.
Schar will be touch and go for the start of the season but could be back towards the end of the month.
His future depends on interest from clubs in Spain and France after he was used as bait for possible swap deals as Steve Bruce looks to bolster his squad at the other end of the field.
