Netherlands legend Wesley Sneijder thinks Donny van de Beek made the right decision to join Manchester United.
The 23-year-old signed for United from Ajax last week in a deal worth £40m.
Real Madrid came close to signing van de Beek in January, but Sneijder believes United are a 'better fit'.
He told Voetbal International: "Now is the right time.
"Manchester United is a fantastic club and I think he is a better fit there too.
"English football suits him better than Spanish football. He is a complete player. I really like his running actions.
"He is someone who makes space, has a lot of depth and always looks for the right moments to go deep.
"He is always in the right place and always keeps playing football."
