Aston Villa have launched a bid for FC Copenhagen defender Victor Nelsson.
Ekstra Bladet says Villa have offered £9m for the young stopper, who has been likened to former Liverpool defender Dan Agger.
Key to the deal is new Villa sporting director Johan Lange, who moved to England from FCK earlier this summer.
Nelsson, 21, has been a revelation for FCK this past year and been tipped for a future Premier League move by his coach Stale Solbakken.
Nelsson joined FCK from FC Nordsjælland a year ago and has a contract until 2024.
